The Best Coffee Place in Town: Spacegrey

Writing blog posts takes so much time so when I do write a blog about something, you know it's gonna be good because just by writing about it makes me so happy! So lemme hit you with your best espresso shot! ;)

I can confidently say, I love Spacegrey as much as I love Fluffed! Yes that's a big statement right there but I ain't exaggerating. THIS IS THE PLACE TO GET UR COFFEE AND MATCHA FIX! The whole experience from excitement of coming here to leaving the cafe, is such a happy memory to me. It's just a different type of happiness when you know the cafe is so passionate in what they do and creates quality stuff.

I wish I stayed nearby so I could have it daily! It’s one of the best coffee i ever had. Back story, I only gotten into coffee in the last 2-3 years, and I'm not too experienced with coffee so please do not come at me! >< I'm more of a milk based coffee gal but I'm trying to learn and appreciate the beauty of black coffee hehe. Just so you know, you can pass by the shop without even noticing, so look out for it, as it's located in a small shop lot upstairs!

My day is instantly made whenever I come here. When you open the door, you’re welcome with the smell of coffee + fresh flowers. It really starts off THAT PERFECTLY!

Now to the good stuff! The white coffee with oat milk (RM13) was beautiful, when I had my first sip, my eyes instantly became wide open and was like "THIS IS SOME GOOD STUFF HERE" and reminded me of the best coffee I had back in Japan! It had a strong espresso without being too strong, and wasn’t too milky at all. Can we also take a moment to appreciate the beautiful latte art, so simple yet so well-precise. I don't know how he does it but it just blends so well together, some kind of MAGIC in this coffee. The oaty maltiness from the oat milk goes hand in hand with the strong coffee! I personally have bought oat milk back home before and made coffee with it, but it doesn’t taste anywhere near to this one here!!!

Now to the Dirty Matcha (RM15), The matcha was so rich and smooth!!! While still getting those strong coffee taste + visually STUNNING. A little bit of bitterness and grassy notes hehe! Mix it all together and you know that it's the best of both worlds :P *HANNAH MONTANA FANS WHERE U AT*

We also ordered a Matcha Filled Cookie (RM6) because I always see it on my timeline and I just had to try it! Are you surprised but I ALSO LOVE THIS SO MUCH!? The cookie is quite small but the richness of the matcha centre plus the gooey kinda brownie cookie with crisp exterior + flaky salt on top to balance everything? Perfection. He bakes it right on the spot when you order it, so it's DAMMN FRESH.

We had a Iced Matcha with Oat Milk (RM14), hands down best matcha I ever had so far here in Malaysia! It was so rich, has a sweet nuttiness and pleasant bitter undertone. Definitely on par with my fav matcha from Nanas Green Tea!

I also tried their Mocha with Oat Milk (RM15), this was served hot, and this cup felt like a big warm hug. The chocolate in it was very thick, rich and paired perfectly to the coffee and oat milk. We also had an Iced White (RM11) that you just can’t go wrong with it here.

Now to their bottled drinks which is one of my favs! My favourite among all gotta be their Coffee Oat Milk (RM15) and it's the perfect to bring back home! IT IS SO GOOOD and I always slowly savour every single drop of it! And lemme tell you it's perfect when another espresso shot is added to it! GAME CHANGER and I'm craving for it as I'm writing it right now. The Matcha Oat Milk (RM15) is amazing too, I'm actually running out of words to describe it but THE BEST MATCHA EVER OKIE. The Mocha Oat Milk (RM15) is super rich and chocolatey + coffee! When you taste it you just know that it's good quality chocolate in it. :)

Since I'm now a working adult who earns MY OWN MONEY! I have the privilege of buying things (more coffee) that makes me happy! I actually drove here 3 times within 2 weeks just to takeaway their bottled drinks! So yes I have had their drinks so many times and the QUALITY is always there! Before lockdown, I came here and bought 6 bottles to bring back home just to stock up hehe (but all finished it within 2-3 days).

Since this is one of my favourite place on earth, I love bringing my friends and family here to enjoy our time together here. I have recommended a few of my friends and foodie friends to try this place out, and so far ALL of them are loving it! It's the perfect cozy little cafe to just relax or have a catch up session with your friends, the vibes, the drinks is all spot on. Oh and every corner of this cafe is so picture worthy so you can definitely get good shots no matter where you sit!

The owner is really humble and I sincerely wish they have HUGE success, because I won't know what to do without them! They are slowly expanding their menu and have ramen available too (limited) and I still haven't got round to try it but one dayyy i will! I'm so excited for them and can't wait to see their growth hehe, will always be supporting them!
